Children's Music

Children's Choirs provide an opportunity for music learning as well as musical expression in worship. There is singing, music games, use of instruments (including bell-plates), and learning about how music has come to us.

Each year, we take a group of older children to a state music camp near Lynchburg (Eagle Eyrie) for a great week of fun, excitement, and learning. This happens in July and we look forward to taking a bigger group next year!

There is a choir for all young ages from preschool age 4 through 5th grade. All groups meet on Wednesday night at 6:00 (right after family supper at 5:30). Feel free to contact me for more information (366-6631).

Melrose also provides weekly music time for the "aftercare" program. This exposes a large group of children to the benefits of music largely in a Christian setting. This occurs each Tuesday afternoon about 3:30.

CHILDREN'S MUSICAL GETS HIGH REVIEWS!
Our children presented "King of the Jungle" last Sunday (Aug. 26), and it was wonderful. There were MANY solos and speaking parts, and everything went extremely well. The musical (by David and Celeste Clydesdale) was very meaningful. See pics...
