Children's Music Children's Choirs provide an opportunity for music learning as well as musical expression in worship. There is singing, music games, use of instruments (including bell-plates), and learning about how music has come to us. Each year, we take a group of older children to a state music camp near Lynchburg (Eagle Eyrie) for a great week of fun, excitement, and learning. This happens in July and we look forward to taking a bigger group next year! There is a choir for all young ages from preschool age 4 through 5th grade. All groups meet on Wednesday night at 6:00 (right after family supper at 5:30). Feel free to contact me for more information (366-6631). Melrose also provides weekly music time for the "aftercare" program. This exposes a large group of children to the benefits of music largely in a Christian setting. This occurs each Tuesday afternoon about 3:30.
