YOUTH LOCK-IN INCLUDES "POVERTYTOWN SIMULATION"
There were plenty of fun activities, but the night included a "Povertytown Simulation" whereby youth learn about the challenges of poverty and homelessness. It went incredibly well.
YOUTH CHRISTMAS DRAMA VERY POIGNANT - Dec. 18
It was quite dramatic at times, and the acting was superb. But the meaning was rich, and everyone enjoyed the presentation of "The Unlikely Christmas Shepherd."
CHRISTMAS MUSIC EXTRA EXCITING THIS YEAR! Dec. 11
With the largest orchestra to date, we had a wondrous Christmas program this year with updated music. It was exciting and meaningful!
CHURCH ORDAINS 5 WOMEN AND 1 GENTLEMAN AS NEW DEACONS - Nov.
Melrose BC has a long tradition of ordaining women as deacons and ministers. This year was a little unusual in the ordaining of so many women. The service was very meaningful and heartwarming.
TRUNK OR TREAT HUGE SUCCESS! - Oct. 31
Our annual Trunk or Treat brought huge crowds again. It was a great community night.
HEE HAW SHOW A HIT - Sep. 20
The takeoff on the old show brought big laughter with our senior adult group (L.A.A.F - Living Abundanly After Fifty). The starts and skits made for a top program.
CHILDREN'S MUSICAL HITS THE FINISH LINE - Sep. 11
It was one of the biggest musicals to date ... called "The Amazing Grace Race," based on the journey of our Christian lives. Hats off to our wonderful and talented kids as EACH one had at least one solo!
