WATER REVISITED:

LATEST STUDIES SHOW 8 by 8 IS NOT NEEDED

A recent ABC-TV 20/20 episode highlighted new information from experts on water consumption for health. The high push for water as 8 glasses of 8 ounces is now considered extreme and unnecessary. The fact is, many foods contain a great deal of water. A slice of bread is 1/3 water, a baked potato 90% water! So, although some supplemental water, especially as a meal beverage may be a good idea, it is NOT necessary to consume great amounts of water. Your body will usually tell you when you need water, although this is not as perfectly true for senior adults.

By the way, filtered water is always a good idea. Use some type of water filter at home for your drinking water.
