Palm Sunday 2006 - Excerpts from program
Melrose Baptist Church Choir and orchestra

The selections are by track. Some are excerpts, some are complete.
Unfortunately, the original recording sometimes had the choir or soloists too soft or low. Still, you should be able to get some idea of the performance. (It is best heard on headphones).

The work is called Harvest of Sorrows by Joseph Martin. It is a serious (almost somber) but beautiful work focusing on the time before the resurrection.

Remember, this is not a professional (or even auditioned) group. Melrose Baptist Church is not a large church. We have about 350 in Sunday morning service. Instrumentalists included collegiate (from Virginia Tech) and other amateur players.
