Youth Missions!

The Melrose Youth are always working on various mission efforts.  Once a month on Wednesday nights, we go to the Rescue Mission and have dinner with the homeless, which is a very moving experience.  Look below at some of the other mission efforts we have done!

Youth group taken to Police Station!

On this mission excursion, we took fruit and pastries to the officers on their shift change.

We also learned about criminal justice, police gear, SWAT, and more!

Youth care for soldiers!

For this mission event, the youth all brought items such as candy, WWJD braclets, and miniture bottles

of shampoo, etc. to send to the soldiers in Iraq.  We also wrote encouragment cards for them.

Easter Boxes!?!  And No Baskets?

On Palm Sunday, the youth gathered their resources and helped make Easter boxes instead of baskets!

These boxes were done through Operation Easter Child and were sent to children who were victims of the Tsunami.

Youth Pause to Take Care of Their Own

This time, the youth gathered together to wash, vacuum, and wipe down the church vans.  Look at 'em sparkle . . . the vans, that is.
